On the first of February - that's 3 days from now - this particular journal will be three years old.

Has it really been three years? I remember the day I created this journal. I couldn't think of what to call it, so (no lie) I looked at all of the books (about 30 of them) stacked on the shelf above my desk, and I took out parts from each of their titles. I fooled around with a few of them, and then stumbled across this one in my head, one that seemed to fit me perfectly. A highstrung melody. That's me. Anyone who knows me can attest to that. Well, to the highstrung part, at least. :D

So, three years. Shall we have a party? Neil was fretting earlier about missing the million-word mark, and lamenting the lost oppurtunity for a party. With balloons. And I firmly believe that there should always be parties with balloons on momentus occasions. Maybe I can whip up some cool sparkly image (with balloons, of course) to convey to all of you lovely people the party atmosphere that will permeate this blog on the 1st of February. I'll see what I can do.

(My favourite part of Neil's journal entry are the labels, which consist of "Balloons", "Bang Bang Fringe Fringe", and "Parties We Didn't Have". As if you needed an entire label for "Parties We Didn't Have." Maybe Neil misses party oppurtunities a lot? :D)

My LJ is almost exactly three years older than yours.

http://mm511.livejournal.com was born on February 5th, 2003, after disappointment and disillusionment with my deadjournal.

And by "exactly three years older," I obviously mean "exactly one year older," because obviously 2004-2003 = 1 but =/= 3.

Duh.
